Add Your Ingredients to La Pleta

Val d’Aran (Pyrenees), Spain (April 17, 2006)- Pick wild berries, mushrooms and Catalan escargots, bring the bounty to the hotel’s Executive Chef for dinner that evening, or to the spa for a fresh berry spa treatment. Guests at La Pleta Hotel & Spa are guided by a local expert on three, half-day tours through the Val d’Aran forest in the Spanish Pyrenees, learning how and where to pick their own ingredients, to be used that evening in a personalized dinner or spa treatment. The 4-day/3-night Mushrooms, Berries and Snails program is available from September 1 to September 30, 2006, and includes accommodations in an Occitania Superior room, breakfast each morning and three, half-day guided tours. The program costs $561 USD per person, based on double occupancy. Taxes and service charges are additional.

La Pleta offers two dining options- Del Gel al Foc, serving creative international cuisine with a Catalonian twist in a stylish and relaxed setting and the hotel’s new restaurant, Petita Borda, specializing in Mediterranean style dishes offering a la carte breakfasts and light lunches. In addition, the hotel features an extensive wine cellar and a new Cigar Bar, where you can relax after dinner and sample some of the best and rarest cigars and brandies in the world.
