Wellington in February and March


Festival Fever Hits:
The next two months are about to blast off as New Zealand’s largest and most celebrated cultural event, The New Zealand International Arts Festival, bursts into life once again. This year’s bill is as outstanding as ever.

In true Wellington style, New Zealand’s biggest Fringe Festival comes thundering back for a record 13th year.
Plunge into the eclectic energy of a number of incredible acts. Be sure to check out Rockin the Fringe at Indigo Bar and Chalk the Walk at Frank Kitts Park.

The Volvo Ocean Race sails into port on the 16th February providing a perfect opportunity to spend some time on Wellington’s waterfront. Check out the yachts and chat to the crews.

If you are into sport, Wellington is hosting World Wrestling Entertainment, World Cup Cycling, the Dragon Boat Festival, NZ vs West Indies cricket and Super 14 during March.

Make certain you are in the midst of the action; a weekend in Wellington this February or March is the perfect way to make sure that summer holiday feeling doesn’t disappear just yet.
