Book them quick – our family was in London exactly a year before the Olympics is due to start and we had such difficulty getting a hotel then because the dates co-incide with the start of the main UK summer holidays and most of Europe is on holidays too. So London was packed and that was without the Olympics!
I am quite pleasantly surprised by these prices, because we paid alot last year and were out at some obscure end of tube line location!
I hope the Gold Coast can learn some lessons from the London experience as we prepare to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games – mind you it will be in April – wonder how many people from UK will come visit us down under!
Cheers
Annie from Gold Coast Australia
