Nevis, West Indies, October 10, 2005 – The idyllic Mount Nevis Hotel, on the Caribbean island of Nevis, is offering a fall special “Third Night Free” promotion until December 15 that gives lucky couples (or families) one free night for every two paid nights—a whopping 33% discount. With days getting shorter and evenings getting colder in the coming weeks, this bargain makes a sun-drenched getaway especially appealing.
What does the bargain mean in dollars?
A deluxe king room with balcony that normally goes for $250 will cost only $166 a night.
A superior suite with kitchen and terrace that normally costs $300, will be $200 a night –and this suite accommodates a family of four.
The welcoming, family-owned Mount Nevis Hotel is a tropical paradise, sitting in the lovely flowering acres of an old lime plantation. Rooms, terraces and the restaurant have an unbelievable panoramic view of lush green Nevis, the glistening blue Caribbean and the coves and beaches of sister island St. Kitts. Not only is the hotel newly- and beautifully-decorated, but it offers air-conditioning, ceiling fans, direct-dial telephones, complimentary cell phones, cable television and video players with a library of films. The resort is only five minutes from the airport and just a couple of miles from town and a supermarket.
Guests can relax in a hammock by the 60-foot freshwater swimming pool, or enjoy tennis courts and a well-equipped gym right on property. A complimentary shuttle service provides transportation to a nearby beach club. Golf is available just outside the door on a 12-hole ($10) executive par three course, and close at hand on an 18-hole championship Robert Trent Jones II golf course. Hiking up the neighboring cloud-topped Mount Nevis, sea kayaking and windsurfing on azure waters, mountain biking through a tropical jungle and scuba diving off tropical reefs are other sportive possibilities. The poolside Mount Nevis Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on an arcaded patio, while Pizza Beach—seaside where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet—serves homemade pizza and lighter fare in the evenings.
The “Third Night Free” promotion is subject to availability and does not include 10% service, 9% tax or any meals. Air fare on American Airlines from New York to Nevis via San Juan can be as low as $372. For more information and pictures of the hotel, visit www.mountnevishotel.com. Mt. Nevis Hotel, will most likely run the same special again this season. They have run a similar special every year since 2001..right after the 9/11 attacks. The fall is a great time to go to Nevis, albeit there is a chance of the odd hurricane blowing through.
Fall is great as the rates are still off season, hardly any tourists, and the kids are all back in school LOL
I have been to Nevis 20 times, 21 this Fall, and it is always wonderful.
