This July, the Russian waterways will see its first truly deluxe riverboat, the Volga Dream, make its way from Moscow to St. Petersburg, stopping in the Golden Ring cities of Uglich, Yaroslavl, Goritzy, and the picturesque island-town of Kizhi, as well as the villages of Mandrogy, and Valaam. Exeter International is proud to introduce this ground-breaking vessel to travelers around the world- a first for Russia.

While many Soviet-era boats have been offering a basic level of comfort on this route for years, the Volga Dream is the first of its kind, offering luxury and style never before seen on the waterways in Russia. Large staterooms (starting at 97 square feet- versus 70 on standard vessels- and reaching 264 square feet in an Owners Suite), full en suite bathrooms with separate showers, flat screen satellite televisions, and in-room climate control and fine dining are all features never before introduced on Russian riverboats.

Departures start on July 9th, 2007 and continue between Moscow and St. Petersburg stopping at some of Russia's most picturesque river towns, until Sept 30. Prices range from $6,700 per person, double occupancy for Cabin Deck accommodations to $8,500 per person double occupancy in a junior suite. The program includes two nights at the boutique Hotel Savoy in Moscow, as well as VIP entrances throughout the touring program in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Special August Departure

Exeter International is offering a unique opportunity to join the Volga Dream this August at an extraordinary value- starting at $3,500 per person, double occupancy, travelers can travel from Moscow to St. Petersburg on the Volga Dream for a ten-night cruise. The cruise starts in Moscow on August 8 and ends in St. Petersburg on August 18, 2007.

And to Astrakhan
In October, 2007, the Volga Dream will make its first-ever trip down the southern Volga River to the famed city of Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea. This is a route rarely taken by any riverboat, let alone the luxurious Volga Dream. This extraordinary departure will feature stops in Uglich, Yaroslavl, Plyos, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Samara, Saratov, Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad) before reaching the famed city of Astrakhan- known for its tsarist history, as well as the center for all caviar production in Russia. Plentiful Beluga caviar will no doubt be another highlight! Offered exclusively by Exeter International, with VIP touring throughout, prices start at $4,450 per person, double occupancy for the twelve-night trip, starting in Moscow on October 3 and ending in Astrakhan on October 15. The Volga Dream runs the itinerary in reverse starting October 15 (ending in Moscow on October 26), and prices are the same in either direction.
