For those looking for another way to get to Cancun, starting July 7 AeroMexico will offer a new regularly scheduled flight from Tijuana to Cancun. While at first, this might not excite many travelers on the West Coast of the U.S. with LAX being a major airport with direct flights to Cancun and around the world. This new flight opens doors to the Asian community and those flying the Narita (Japan)/Tijuana flight via AeroMexico or folks interested in taking the free bus, offered by Intercalifornias (an AeroMexico partner), at any of the scheduled stops between Tijuana and Fresno, California, which creates some interesting possibilities.

The new flight is scheduled to depart Tijuana twice weekly, every Wednesday and Friday, at 11:40AM, arriving Cancun at 6:10PM with return flights from Cancun at 8:45PM, arriving at 11:20PM.

Cancun is the most popular tourist destination in Mexico, and Riviera Maya hosts over 35,000 rooms. Upcoming events include spawning whale sharks and separate Tequila, music, and film festivals.
