JNTO LAUNCHED SPANISH WEBSITE FOR THE HISPANIC MARKET IN THE US
New York, August 26 – Following the launch of the Portuguese website, JNTO has introduced a new version in Spanish on August 15, 2008. As part of Visit Japan Campaign, JNTO has started marketing approach to the Hispanic market in the United States this year, and the JNTO’s Spanish website is going to be the most significant information source to Spanish speakers of Japan tourism.
With the fastest growing population in the United States, the Hispanic market is nothing to ignore in terms of the US market, and JNTO considers the Hispanic high-end market has strong interest in history and cultural difference and the Spanish website would become the best tool to promote Japan as a vacation destination to this market.
Although JNTO ran a temporary Spanish website during the 2002 World Cup Soccer which Japan co-hosted with South Korea, but it was closed after the international event.
