PALACE RESORTS ACQUIRES NEW PROPERTY
IN RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO

Miami, Florida, July 10, 2006 – Palace Resorts, the company that set the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations, is pleased to announce the purchase of Club Maeva Tulum located in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico. Palace Resorts formally took over the 300 room property from the German company TUI in the recent months.
Club Maeva will continue to operate under its current name until December 22nd, after which it will officially change to Club Tulum. The resort will close in August 2007, to undergo a complete renovation to all rooms and common areas. It will then be fully integrated into the Palace Resorts’ brand, assuming a new name that has yet to be determined.

The upgrades to the resort will include the incorporation of a double-Jacuzzi in every room as well as renovations to the lobby and pool that will create a beautiful combination of spacious colonial design with touches of contemporary Mexican décor. Once the transition is complete, the resort will feature a variety of fine restaurants, bars and lounges, convention facilities and a state-of-the-art spa.

“This is a very exciting time for Palace Resorts,” said Roberto Chapur, President of Palace Resorts. “The addition of this beautiful resort now brings our family of all-inclusive properties to 11 and gives our guests yet another luxurious option when it comes to vacationing in Mexico.

Club Maeva Tulum, located 52 miles south from Cancun International Airport, is situated on a breathtaking 4.7 million square foot landscape and features a private white sandy beach that stretches for a mile along the sun swept coastline. The resort is also moments from the ancient Mayan site of Tulum, which is known as a unique archaeological site that was once the principal maritime commercial port along the Mayan route.

Palace Resorts, the company that set the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations, offers nine all-inclusive properties throughout Cancún, the Riviera Maya, Nuevo Vallarta and Cozumel.
