This year's Summer Nights in Rijeka are starting earlier that usual. Reason is that a world-renown tenor Jose Cura will be a guest on June 6,7 and 8 in Leoncavallo's opera "Pagliacci", both as a lead singer and director (for the first time). Operas, concerts, drama and dance performances will transform Rijeka into international cultural center for duration of the festival. Many renowned performers and artists will take part in Rijeka Summer Nights, with performances taking place on many locations throughout the city. Trsat fortress, Rijeka Pier, beaches and outdoor stages will attract many visitors and tourists, both local and international. This festival became a tradition in this northern Adriatic city, famous for its Carnival as well, and being also the biggest port in Croatia. www.rijeckeljetnenoci.com
