The Wellington Waterfront will be transformed for the inaugural Vodafone Homegrown festival and it’s shaping up to be the mother of all summer gigs. Vodafone Homegrown will feature 5 stages set along the waterfront with 35 of the best rock, pop, indie, dub, roots and dance acts.

In true Wellington fashion expect a festival oozing culture and overflowing with peripheral entertainment, interactive activities, art installations and street performers.

Here’s a taste of the impressive line-up:

The Black Seeds
The Mint Chicks
Cornerstone Roots
The Phoenix Foundation
The Checks
Little Bushman
Concord Dawn
Goodnight Nurse
The Valves

All stages are either indoors or under massive marquees so even if it rains it will be sorted. If the weather is sweet organisers will be opening up all the marquees to let the sun shine in. At Vodafone Homegrown you either have to be 15+ or if you’re under 15 you will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to gain admittance.
