National Geographic ADVENTURE and Adventures in Travel Expo Present
"Wild Angle Photo Contest" for Chance to Win PENTAX K10D Digital Cameras
For the person who's always fancied him or herself good enough to be in National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine, here's your chance! National Geographic ADVENTURE magazine will once again hold their "Wild Angle Photo Contest," providing amateur photographers the chance to win a fabulous PENTAX camera package as part of the annual contest.
The contest is co-sponsored by Adventures in Travel Expo "“ the world's largest active and adventure travel show and has had tremendous success in past years with entries by promising photographers from around the country. Not only will the winner get the PENTAX K10 digital camera, but the winning photo will be featured in the magazine and on the website.
Here's how it works. Amateur photographers are invited to submit their best adventure photos to be judged by a panel of award-winning ADVENTUREphotographers for the chance to win a Pentax K10 digital camera. The winning photos are selected based on subject matter, composition, photographic skill, originality and creativity. Ten runners up will win Pentax Optio W30 digital cameras. The photos are initially judged by an elite panel at each of the individual shows — NYC/January 12 – 13, Chicago/January 26 – 27, Los Angeles/February 9 "“ 10 and Washington, DC/March 29 "“ 30. The winning photos will move on to the finals, with the winner being awarded at the Washington, DC show on March 30, 2008.
"We've seen the contest grow and evolve each year and somehow the entries keep getting better and better," says Holly Saunders, Marketing Director at National Geographic ADVENTURE. "It's fascinating to see each person's individual spin on the 'adventure' theme and how well that is captured in many of the entries we receive. We look forward to another great contest season."
