For the first time, Austrian citizens will be able to cast their vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections in mid-air "“ that is if they are flying the national carrier, Austrian Airlines.
Starting today, on all Austrian Airlines flights through 5 p.m. on Election Day, October 1st, passengers carrying valid voting cards "“ even though they are beyond Austrian federal airspace, can cast their ballot, with flight attendants doubling as witnesses.
