NEW HOTEL IN PRELOG, MEDIMURJE REGION
Prelog is a picturesque town in Medimurje region, northernmost part of Croatia . ZADAR MAN THE BEST OLIVE GROWER IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
Milan Salama from Zadar was awarded the flattering title "The Olive Grower of the Mediterranean ” at the “Maslina Split 2008” international contest in olive growing. There were 500 competitors, from Mediterranean countries, but also from Australia , New Zealand and Canada . “Maslina Split” is the biggest olive growers contest in the world, organized for the 4th year in the row. Croatia is very rich in olives, it has sic million fruit bearing olive trees, and 4 million neglected ones, that need restoration.

ARULIC DAYS
Split, April 20-28
Dalmatian city of Split honors its famous writer and poet Marko Marulic (1450-1524) with this festival. He was the creator of the first Croatian literary work “Judita”. Festival has two parts: Croatian drama competition and scholarly conference on life and work of this Croatian medieval bard, with central event “International Expert Symposium on Marko Marulic”.

COFFEE BREAK FESTIVAL
Opatija, April 4-5
This is the first time that a festival of this kind is taking place in Croatia . Opatija, beautiful resort destination on Northern Adriatic , will be a host to coffee lovers from many different countries during days of Coffee Break Festival. Visitors will have a chance to take part in coffee preparation workshops, tastings, “Coffee and Celebrities” exhibition and “Coffee and Book” event. Also, there will be a competition in coffee (espresso) making open to public.

LOVRAN ASPARAGUS FESTIVAL
Lovran, April 5-13
This picturesque town on Kvarner Riviera is a host to Asparagus Festival, taking place every year. Local grown asparagus are known for its specific taste due to the sea air. Lots of great food, including famous “Grand Omelette” (in a 6.5′ diameter pan) attract many visitors. Folklore and music performances are taking place as well.

BARANJA "“ NEW TOURIST SPOT IN CROATIA
Baranja is the region in the most north-eastern corner of Croatia . It’s famous for Nature Park Kopacki Rit, habitat for many different flora and fauna species and is considered to be one of the richest European wetlands bird nature reserves. NEW HOTEL “BASTION” IN ZADAR

THE MONUMENT TO THE SUN IN ZADAR
After the world-known Sea Organs, Zadar just got one more urban installation. The Monument to the Sun consists of three hundred multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level with the stone-paved waterfront in the shape of a 22-meter diameter circle. Simultaneously with the "žmost beautiful sunset in the world” the lighting elements installed in a circle turn on, and, following a particularly programmed scenario, they produce a marvelous, exceptionally impressive show of light in the rhythm of the waves and the sounds of the Sea organs.
