I woke up on NCL’s Epic today docked at St. Maartin today and after a quick coffee and bagel, I took a water taxi over to the shopping area. My daughter and I had a blast tracking down all of the free gifts that the coupon book I had gotten on board had promised. There were tons of shops and lots of great deals. But after a few hours though, I was ready to call it a day. The shopping was great. But the day was getting very hot.
Two other ships were docked at St. Maartin at well. So there were a ton of people in town and on the beach. I was happy to get back on board the Epic and spend the rest of the afternoon hanging out at the pool and enjoying a yummy lunch. Then I decided to try my hand at a few rounds of bingo. I didn’t win, but it didn’t really matter. It was fun to do something that I would never do at home and with their “full meal deal,” I got a groovy tote bag and t-shirt to remember the occasion.
Tonight’s sunset was beautiful. It’s not every day that you get to watch the sun fall into the ocean and I enjoyed every minute of it.
