(Hong Kong, 29 September 2006) A series of crowd-pulling events will be held at The Peak Tower in the lead up to the Grand Opening on Tuesday 14th November.

These lively attractions will take place each weekend "“ Saturday and Sunday "“ following the opening two days on 1st and 2nd October which have been timed to coincide with the start of Golden Week.

Martyn Sawyer, Group General Manager, Properties and Clubs of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH), which owns the building, commented, "A premier goal of the revitalisation of The Peak Tower was to create a fun, festive atmosphere to draw visitors from all walks of life. To begin the countdown to our Grand Opening in November, we opted to stage a fantastic series of shows over the coming weeks, timed to coincide with Hong Kong's public holiday and Golden Week on the mainland."

Visitors will be treated to a visual feast with entertainment from a wide range of performers including musicians, acrobats and dancers.

One of the acts likely to cause a stir is The Fabulous Fat Brothers. Standing at nine feet tall and five feet wide they are sure not to be missed. A highly visual, stunning act combined with music, makes them one of the best roving show-acts in the world. They have worked at prestigious international events including the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Visitors to The Peak Tower are likely to see them perform as fat chefs, fat Elvises and fat security guards.

Other top acts include a spectacular Chinese acrobatic show, a funky jazz trio and street art which will all take place between 2.00 and 6.00 pm.

In addition to these events, the Peak Tower's Viewing Terrace will be the number one spot in town from which to see the spectacular harbour fireworks display that will take place from 8pm on Sunday 1st October to mark National Day.
