Barcelona is a vibrant and dynamic city with hip design hotels and some of the world's most stunning Modernist (Art Nouveau) architecture. GaudÃ's Sagrada Familia is one of the icons of this Catalonia capital and Las Ramblas ranks as one of the best known promenades in Spain, and arguably the world.
" Barcelona is the number one most popular destination in Spain for American visitors," explains Javier Piñanes, director of the Tourist Office of Spain in New York. "They come for the fabulous food, for the museums "“ including one dedicated to Picasso "“ and especially to embark on one of the many Mediterranean cruises that leave from the port. Now with American's new nonstop service, they will be able to travel to Barcelona faster and more conveniently," says Piñanes.
American Airlines also offers service to Madrid from Boston, Miami and Chicago.
