Northland has launched its first food and wine trail featuring 62 food and wine experiences throughout New Zealand's warmest region – plus a "Northland Seasonal Specials" campaign that makes access to the region even better value during autumn and winter.

The free Northland Food & Wine Trail map lists everything from farm gate sales, to chocolate factories, cheese factories, farmers' markets, Northland excursions and adventures to winery dining.  It is available as a tear-off map at i-Sites throughout Northland or can be ordered through Northland's official website, http://www.northlandnz.com/, which also features a section entirely devoted to "A Taste of Northland".

The best part about the new Northland Food & Wine Trail is that rather than having to follow a particular route, gastro-tourists can tailor the trail to suit themselves "“ and with the Northland Seasonal Specials campaign featuring over 90 special offers on accommodation, activities, transport, pampering packages and gourmet getaways, visitors can take a few more days to sample all the tastes of the North.

Details of the seasonal specials are available on http://www.northlandnz.com/ "“ where  visitors to the region who want to worry less about their wallets and concentrate more on their waistlines can find everything from luxurious golfing getaways in the Bay of Islands with late checkouts and gourmet food at a vineyard to quad bike rides through ancient buried kauri forests and over giant sand dunes, combined with accommodation in an absolute beachfront bed & breakfast – or just great deals on places to stay.
