If you are planning a trip to Arizona you might want to choose to go November 2-5, because in addition to the natural beauty of Scottsdale, there is a cultural bonanza thanks to Smithsonian magazine.
Smithsonian magazine's CultureFest 2006 will be held this year in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. The four-day festival will combine the resources and knowledge of the Smithsonian Institution with the cultural treasures found only in Arizona. CultureFest presents 50 programs, including lectures, live music, tours, performances, story telling, discussions and special events for the whole family. Experts will present about everything from science and nature to jazz and tourism.
CultureFest is produced and sponsored by Smithsonian magazine in partnership with the Arizona Office of Tourism, the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. CultureFest is coordinated by The Smithsonian Associates (TSA), the educational arm of the Smithsonian Institution.
