About the Jaroslav Vasata Bronze Award
The Jaroslav Vasata Bronze Plaque for "žSuccessful Gastronomy Concept" has been awarded by the professional gastronomy monthly magazine Food-Service since 2000.
The prize may be awarded to a restaurant, chain of restaurants, a café or confectionery, as well as a special-purpose catering enterprise, a hotel restaurant, etc. To qualify, the enterprises must demonstrate high quality of product, large number of satisfied visitors, and plans to continue developing the concept.
Jaroslav Vasata Bronze Plaque is named after a very successful Czech gastronome who was forced to leave Czechoslovakia for the U.S.A after 1948. In the U.S. he continued his career as a successful restaurant entrepreneur. Jaroslav Vasata is a symbol of progressive Czech gastronomy.
