Here’s What’s Cooking:
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the citywide Copenhagen Cooking food festival takes place August 21 to 30. On the calendar are beer tastings from among more than 500 beers at the Carlsberg Visitors Center, the eat09 gourmet food fair at Øksnehallen, the finals of the Børsen Young Chefs competition held live outside the historic Restaurant Peder Oxe, special menus and deals at dozens of restaurants throughout the city and appearances by some of Denmark’s top chefs, including Claus Meyer, Copenhagen restaurateur and host of Public Television’s “New Scandinavian Cooking.”
