November 13, 2006 "“ TORONTO, ON "“ This Christmas, Le Royal Méridien King Edward is once again liberating reluctant holiday cooks from the confines of their kitchens with the ultimate gift: take-out Christmas Dinner. Rather than spending the day slaving in the kitchen or serving guests an odd assortment of holiday pot-luck, revellers across the GTA can now enjoy a delicious slow-roasted turkey with all the fixings available for pick-up at the Le Royal Méridien King Edward hotel.
"Our team of award-winning chefs will be working on Christmas Day so you don't have to," says Robbie Bishop, Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Le Royal Méridien King Edward. "This year, give yourself or an over-worked loved one the gift of a leisurely, relaxed Christmas spent enjoying the company of friends and family."
Executive Chef Daniel Schick has created a yuletide menu sure to impress even the most discerning mother-in-law. The menu serves 10 to 12 people at the price of $350 and includes:
Butternut Squash Soup
Slow Roasted Turkey
Apple Celery Dressing
Herb Roasted New Potatoes
Festive Vegetable Medley
Turkey Sage Jus
Ace Bakery Bread Rolls
For those who prefer beef, the turkey and stuffing can be substituted with Beef Wellington and red wine sauce for $450. Heating instructions are included with both menu options. Home-chefs should allow at least one hour to re-heat the meal (Beef Wellington requires more cooking time as it will not be pre-cooked).
Between noon and 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Day, customers can pull-up to the front doors of the hotel, leave their vehicles with the doormen and pick-up their warm turkey dinner in the lobby. Orders must be placed prior to December 20, 2006 by calling our Festive Desk at 416-863-3248 (if necessary, alternate pick-up times can be arranged).
For those who prefer to avoid the kitchen all together on Christmas Day, The King Edward also serves its renowned Christmas Dinner with all the classic trimmings in the historic and newly renovated Sovereign Ballroom.

I would like to book Christmas dinner for three at the hotel, for December 25. Are there three places left? And could you also tell me how I can find a menu as one person eats meat and other two are vegetarians. Also is a fixed priced?
Thank you very much, Valerie Marchant
